Teacher Training Courses
 
The Pilates Hive Pilates conducts Pilates teacher education with courses on the the fundamentals of teaching, Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac and other assorted Pilates equipment. The training has an online component to complete within 9 months from the date of the first face-to-face training session. To be deemed qualified at the completion of the course the following criteria must be met:

  • All lessons (online and in person) must be completed 

  • Final assessments (practical teaching and practical demonstration assessments) must be completed to a satisfactory standard outlined in the assessment guide found in student handbook

  • All course fees are paid in full

 
Health
The Pilates Hive seeks to ensure the health and wellbeing of all of our students. You are required to complete a waiver form at the start of your course and inform your teachers of any health risks, pre-existing injuries, illness, pregnancy, a medical condition or anything that may affect your full participation in all aspects of the training. We recommend that you seek medical advice before participating in any classes at our studio. Participating in any exercise at our studio, online or events is done so at the student’s own risk. 
 
Payment
All payments made for courses are final and refunds are not accepted. Payments are required to be paid in full in order to receive your accreditation.
 
Refunds
Course payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a student is unsatisfied with the services provided by the The Pilates Hive or believes that they may be entitled to a refund, then contact us directly via [email protected] outlining why you believe you are entitled to a refund and attach any medical certificates if relevant so we are able to adequately respond to your request. Please note that a refund made under these circumstances will incur a 10% charge on the amount refunded to cover admin and bank fees. 
 
Request to Change Course
Request to change course intake by emailing [email protected], at least two weeks prior to the first face-to-face training session. The request will be reviewed and granted based on availability in other intakes.
 
Missed Sessions
100% of tutorial training sessions are required to be attended to successfully complete the course. If an emergency arises and a session is missed, you will have one complementary ‘make up’ session available to you. This session will take place in the next course that has space available. If any more than one make up is required, a fee will be administered in order for you to complete the training and receive your certificate.
 
Practical Assessments
Each course involves practical assessments which include teaching practicals and demonstration practicals. These practical assessments will be graded based on the criteria outlined within the student handbook.
If the practical assessments are not completed satisfactorily, the practical assessment can be attempted again in the following intake at no extra cost. If a third attempt is required, a fee will be required to re-sit.
 
Pricing
The Pilates Hive may change pricing at any time.  
 
Schedule Updates
The Pilates Hive reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule, hours, pricing and trainer at any time. 
 
Personal Items
You are responsible for the loss, theft or breakage of any personal belongings you bring into the studio. We recommend not bringing valuable items into sessions, such as phones, jewellery, wallets or purses.
